Stall Owner, Adam Fishball Noodles, Adam Road

Adam Fishball Noodle was started by “Aunty Leng”  in 1988. She had previously worked as a helper at a popular fishball noodle stall at Whitley Food Centre for years before decided to start her own.

Many hawkers, even popular ones, are shutting their businesses because the next generation has no interest in taking over. It’s hard work. It’s repetitive. It’s hot. It’s not glamourous.

However, not so for Aunty Leng. In 2002, she asked her son-in-law, Jeffrey, if he would be willing to learn the trade and take over. He said yes. This is him. So Adam Fishball Noodles survives another generation. Let the good times (and the fishballs) roll.

  1. When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails
with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from
    that service? Thank you!
